135. Priest

Another great vampire hunting movie! Christiana and I watched Priest and it was really stinkin' good. It's such a shame that this movie didn't make any money in theatres because it is set up perfectly for a sequel.

This movie centers around The Priests who are a group of elite vampire fighters that were formed and trained by the church. Once the war between the humans and the vampires was over the church disbanded this group who now live as social outcasts on the edge of society. They have all these special fighting skills but they can't even find common jobs.

Many years after the group is disbanded there is a rogue vampire attack in the wastelands. The church refuses to recognize that their has been a vampire attack and forbids the character simply called "Priest" (Paul Bettany) from going to investigate and to try and save his niece who was captured by the vampires.

In this day and age the mantra is "To Go Against the Church is To Go Against God" so Priest must decide if he wants to renounce his life and his God to go after his family. Doing so will also make him an outlaw. What will he do?

Like I said, this movie was surprisingly great. Paul Bettany does an excellent job as Priest and Karl Urban doesn't do a bad job either.

Final Verdict: Worth Owning!

134. The Beaver

Watched the Beaver. In this movie Walter, played by Mel Gibson, gets really, really depressed and basically has a mental breakdown--maybe not that far from reality. Just before he goes to end his life he discovers a beaver puppet.

The Beaver saves his life and becomes a living entity attached to his body at all times. He tells everyone that the Beaver is prescription therapy and he interacts with everyone through the beaver. He becomes so attached the to the Beaver that it eventually begins to be less helpful and more harmful. I won't spoil it for you, but it keeps things interesting.

My wife, Christiana, thought that this movie was totally depressing, but I thought that it was funny at parts. I guess that's what you get with a dramedy. This movie just shows you how great of an actor Mel Gibson really is...it's a shame that his personal life is such a mess.

Final Verdict: Worth watching but the jury is still out of owning this one.

133. The Day After Tomorrow

So I know its been awhile since I blogged. Has anyone even noticed? oh Well. I dont know if its been that its summer, the sun is out, its hot outside and I wish it was snowing instead but here are back on the blog.  With the snow on my mind I decided to bust out the best snow movie ever The Day After Tomorrow.  And if you know me at all, I LOVE DISASTER MOVIES!
TDAT is the one amazing movie. I love this film. Yes, I love snow, Yes I love disaster movies but this one is very very good. The storming centers around a father (Randy Quaid) a climitalogist and the end of the world ultimate snow storm. On top of the storm his son (Prince of Persia himself Jake Gyllenhaal) is trapped in a the public library of NYC. He sets out on a quest to rescue him.
Day After is from the same mind and groups have brought you Independence Day and 2012. It has a great mix of humor, action, disaster, and dramatic elements. Yes, disaster movies are not realistic. Movies are for an escape and I love movies that the grand spectacle of these movies. This is one is awesome and makes you crave a Wendy's Frosty ever time I watch it. Oh, and it looks AMAZING! on blu-ray.

Final Verdict: Worth Owning.

132. GOAL! The Dream Begins

Even though this movie has a really really cheesy title this is one awesome movie. Its from England so its not that well known in the states but this soccer themed movie is top notch.
Goal follows the story of Santiago. From young mexican child crossing over the border into the US to a grown man living in LA with his dad. His dad has the american dream of owning his own business (landscaping) and his son following in his footsteps. But Santiagos first love is Soccer or Futbol. When a chance meeting with a scout for Manchester United leads to a tryout with the big clubs he jumps at the chance despite his fathers wishes.
What follows next is a fish out of water story of his rise to thru the ranks still he makes it to the big time. The movie is very funny, touching and even makes soccer or football exciting. Give this movie a shot even if you dont like soccer or football. Even if sports movies arent your thing.

Check it out. Final Verdict: Worth owning.

131. SALT

Who is Evelyn Salt?
That is the question posed to us very early in this Bourne meets Babe action thriller.

I will say this. I liked this move alot. Angelina Jolie is one of the few females that can really pull of an action movie. Everything from the stunts (she did almost all of hers) and the fight scenes and make them believable. In this move Jolie plays the before mentioned Evelyn Salt. Who may or may not be a russian spy.

The movie is a great NON STOP action thriller that finds Salt on the run from the CIA while she tries to track down her missing husband and prove where here true loyalties lie. To the USA or Mother Russia. The movie is a constant race and its a thrill ride to be on. I loved it and can't wait for the sequel that is already in the works. She really gives Matt Damon and other male stars a run for their money. Who is Evelyn Salt? Watch it and find out.

130. Despicable Me.

Despicable Me has to be one of the best and funniest animated movies to come out in the last few years. If may go down as one of the best animated films of all times. Its that good. Its that funny.
Despicable Me is one of those rare animated films that are so well made that while you are watching it you forget that it's a cartoon for children. Just like in Toy Story and other great animated movies this move does what all movies should do. Engross you and entertain you into the world that was created. In this particular world we have Gru a villian who had fallen off his game lately of world dominance. He is also facing the fact that a young hot shot named Vector is trying to take his title as super villian.
Gru, voiced by Steve Carrell, hashes a plan to adopt three young girls (who are the real stars of this) to get to Vector but instead falls in love, fluffy love. The truly best part of this movie is Gru's workers the Minions who are hands down the funniest characters I have seen in movies in years. Everything they did was hilarious. Can't wait for the DM sequel!

Final Verdict: Young and Old alike should own this. Worth Owning.

129. Mean Girls

LOL. Yes I own the movie Mean Girls. In fact me and one of the coolest guys on the planet saw it in the theaters. Twice. Shame I know. But before you pass judgement let me remind you of something.
At the time when Mean Girls came out Lindsay Lohan made movies and was a good actress. Tina Fey had just come onto the seem but she wasnt the Tina Fey we know and love now. No one had ever heard of Rachel McAdams. She wasnt the star of the Notebook yet. She wasnt co-starring with Harrison Ford in movies  yet. She wasn't known at all. Then also who was Amanda Seyfried? She wasnt the star of Mamma  Mia yet. Hadn't wrote a single Letter to Juliet yet. But now knowing what we know about all these people you can see why Mean Girls is so fetch (slang from England).
Mean Girls is one of the few high schools that has actually come out in the past ten years that lives up the standards that John Hughes set so high with his movies. From what I know Mean Girls is exaggerated but also way ahead of its time with the recent stories of bullying that has been reported of late. Just in case you want to know. The movie is very very very funny, a bit perverted at times. But it is written great, acted great and just overall great. Plus Tim Meadows. Enough said.

Final Verdict: Worth owning. Shame I know.

128. Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones

Here is what my take on Attack of the Clones has always been. If you could take out Hayden Christensen you have one amazing movie. Seriously this guy cannot act and since its so bad it brings down what in other words is a solid movie.
Clones picks up where Phantom Menace left off just 10 years later. It serves as an origin story on dual levels. It gives us the origin of Padme' and Anakin's love. The origin of Boba Fett and the origin of how the Stormtroopers came to be. More importantly it is the beginning of a war. THE war that leads up to everything we already know and love about the first three episodes.
Ewan McGregor IS the best thing to ever come out of the Star Wars prequels. His performance as Obiwan is the best thing and acting of probably ALL 6 Star Wars and in here he takes the lead and shines. But of course "That's why Im here." I can't write this blog without mentioning one of the best Star Wars moments, if not one the best moments in movie history. The moment where we finally see Master Yoda drop the walking stick and pick up a light saber. That 2 minutes is almost worth the entire prequels being made.

Final Verdict: Solid movie. Worth Owning.

127. Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

Captain Jack Sparrow. Can you believe that a ride a the Disney park has now spawned 4 movies and has become one of the biggest movie franchises of all time? Not to mention we need to remember that until the first Pirates movie hit it big Johnny Depp was not considered a star. He was a thought of a as a great actor but not the A-list star he is now.
But here we are. The fourth movie in the franchise finds us still following Jack Sparrow but minus his other two stars from the first 3 movies, so they will be missing from this blog too. In fact the first thing i realized about this movie is that you really dont miss those two other main characters. The story they created here with Jack Sparrow trying to track down the Fountain of Youth is very entertaining.
Returning however is Jack Sparrows old nemesis Captain Barbossa who has sold his soul and now works for the English crown. Sparrow and Barbossa are now not so much enemies has old friends now. Adding to the mix is the new nemesis Black Beard the pirate who is desperate to find this fountain. Adding the romance is Black Beard's daughter Angelica played by Penelope Cruz and her awful english.  One new characted that I think fans will love. At least everyone in my group did is the missionary Philip played by newcomer Sam Claflin. The movie is good. It is less complex and easier to follow than the third one.

Final Verdict: Worth Owning.

126. The Tourist

Can a movie that doesnt have giant explosions or wild chase scenes be good in today's climate? What about no specials effects? No aliens! and GASP! NO VAMPIRES!? What would one do?
Well the first thing you would do is hire two of the biggest stars on the planet to be in your movie. Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie star in the throw back movie The Tourist. Depp plays Frank a school teaching tourist who gets caught up in a cat and mouse chase movie. The movie was made as a old timey thriller that relies on great scenery and a whodunit plot. Depp is the best of the movie, but when is he not? I actually enjoyed watching this and not getting distracted by explosions or Will Smith tossing a whale into the ocean. It was a great, calm movie. Well watching. Just dont expect Vampires!

Final Verdict: Worth Owning!

125. Noises Off

Noises Off has a great cast. One of the best ensembles ever put on screen. Michael Caine, Carol Burnett, the late great John Ritter and the late great Christopher Reeves. The fact that the movie is well put together and hilarious is just the icing on the cake.
Noises Off is the story of a traveling play and the chaos that goes on with the behind the scenes antics of a theater company. N.O. is based on a famous play and this was an excellent job making a three act play work on the big screen. If you like movies that are well acted and really funny then you should check Noises Off! I owe my love for this movie and play to my good friend Weiss who one afternoon showed up at my apartment and was like you have to watch this movie. Ritter's performance alone is worth watching.

Final Verdict: Worth Owning. Though it is hard to find on DVD.

124. The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader

In the Narnia books the Voyage of the Dawn Treader was my favorite novel. With the Narnia movies I did not enjoy Prince Caspian. So going into this movie I was very leery of how they were going to handle my beloved novel. I was pleased.
Dawn Treader picks up the story after Caspian takes place only this story focuses more of the two youngest Pevensie children. Those being Edmund and Lucy. Along with their cousin Eustace they find themselves transported back into the Narnia world. this time they meet up with an older Caspian and his crew as they are traveling to ends of Narnia to help reclaim some of Narnia's prize leader.
The reason I liked Dawn Treader as a book and as a movie is it the most non stop action of all the novels. While their is no big giant battle at the end the sea story holds up against any action flick. The whole sequence of seeing the children escape from the shadows of their siblings along with the transforming of Eustace is the heart of the story and the movie. This Narnia movie was the best, I loved it.

Final Verdict: Worth owning, but read the book too.

123. Hook

So. I havent watched Hook in years. It was purchased because I was in the mood to watch and when you are single you do crazy things like buy a dvd versus just renting the dvd. So I bought Hook. It has been at least 5 years sinced I watched it.
So now what do I think. Here is my thoughts. It was not that good. Really, it was kind of boring and LONG. Hook a retelling of the classic story Peter Pan. It stars Robin Williams as Peter who has now grown all up and doesnt remember his Neverland fun. It also stars Dustin Hoffman as Hook and Julia Roberts as Tinkerbell. The story revolves around Hook kidnapping Peter's children and taking them to neverland to bait Peter into a final battle. But Peter doesnt remember anything about neverland. The flying, the fairies, the pirates nothing.
Like I said earlier. I didnt really enjoy it. I think it would have been better for me to have not re-watched it and remembered it fondly. I must say that Hoffman as Hook was the best part. As well as Jack, the son. The best part revolves around the Lost Boys. But I just didnt like it.

Final Verdict: Not Worth Owning.

122. Gulliver's Travels.

Oh Jack Black. You had such high ambitions for this movie. I can really tell you wanted this to be good really bad. Well, it wasnt. The crazy thing is on the premise alone it seems it would be funny. Well that is why movies should not be made on premise alone.
If you read my blog on School of Rock you will remember that Jack Black needs a perfect scenario to pull off a movie. Especially when he is the main lead and expected to carry the film. Well here his slacker rock humor just doesnt gel. The movie is about 30 minutes too long and really tries to make Black the loveable giant but it just doesnt click. Something is just lacking. I dont know. Just doesnt work. If you like JB and think his humor is funny then there will be parts of the movie that you will fine funny. But if you are just a casual Jack Black fan, then you should skip it.

Final Verdict: Not Worth Owning.

121. U-571

There was a time in this world where Matthew McConaughey did other movies besides Romantic Comedies. And he wore his shirt they entire movie. Its hard to believe I know! The man who gave us Failure to Launch, The Wedding Planner and Ghosts of Girlfriends past actually does real movies.
U-571 is the true story about the WWII soldiers who fought and captured German U Boats in order to capture and secured German code machines. McConaughey plays Lt. Tyler a career soldier who was just passed up for his own sub due to the fact that he was too close to the soldiers he lead. Bill Paxson, horrible as usual, plays his superior who explains to him that Tyler cant make the tough decisions when it comes to life and death.
As far as U-571 goes, this movie is awesome. It is action packed, intense and well directed. It is one of the first movies I ever watched with a giant surround system and it is amazing. Even if you dont like war movies you might give this o ne a shot. You really get to know the characters that are in the main plot and McConaughey does a great job and its  wonder to see how he went from this action track to the main RomCom go to guy.

120. Ping Pong Playa

Absolutely one of the funniest movies I have ever seen in my entire life. I am serious. This little known movie about a Chineese slacker who loves basketball and the hip hop life but finds his path thru the teaching and playing of Ping Pong. Plus it has a whole song about cereal.
Ping Pong Playa follows the story of Chris Wang or C-Dub. An underachieving slacker in a Chinese family who wants nothing to do with the family's ping pong store or its teaching. He wants to be a baller. Two problems. He cant rap and he is horrible at basketball. That still doesnt stop him from wearing too big jerseys and chains. In a weird twist a fate he gets stuck teaching the his family's ping pong class where C-Dub finds that his young students idolize him.
He then enters the local ping pong tournament but has to go thru karate kid type of training with his old school father. Of course they but heads until they can find a common ground to mesh the two styles. If you have anyway to watch this movie, please do. It is so funny. It does a great job of respecting the culture of the family while being off the wall. Plus it has a song about how much C-Dub loves cereal.

119. 50 First Dates

50 first dates is another example of how Adam Sandler is able to use his sophomoric, man child humor and cross over to main stream appeal. Again pairing him with Drew Barrymore. And just like in the Wedding Singer their chemistry proves to be a powerful.
But the plot of 50 First Dates is a little out there. But what Sandler movie a little out there? Barrymore plays a girl who sufffers from a brain injury that causes her to reset her mind everyday and forget all she met or did the day before. Causes her family to react that day over and over to protect. For example watching the Sixth Sense everyday.
Sandler plays a lovable womanizer who takes it upon himself to woo this girl despite the condition she is in. So he tries day after day to get in her good graces. That part of the movie is playful but then it turns conflicting as San dler falls in love only to fully realize that her condition limits their love. Overall the movie has alot of charm, great supporting characters namely Sean Astin in his first non Hobbit role as a juiced up muscle wannabe.

 Final Verdict: Worth Owning.

118. The A-Team

I love it when a good blog comes together. Also love it when a good action movie comes together. Especially surprising when the said movie is a remake of a beloved 80's tv show. Yes, its beloved but not necessarily the best tv show ever. But it did capture the heart of America.
Which brings us to The A-Team movie. If you go into this movie not expecting the greatest thing in the world but just a FUN action packed movie then you will enjoy it. It is the epitome of a popcorn movie where you go and just have a great time. The casting is the best part of what they did with this movie. Spot on. Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper and even Rampage Jackson worked in the casting.
The movie takes the same plot of the show in which The A-Team is top of the line military unit who are framed for a crime they didnt do and therefore go underground to be hired out to anyone that needs their help. The movie is so good, some language in it, but overall its just FUN movie.

115. Cast Away

Everyone knows how amazing Tom Hanks is. He IS the best actor of my generation. He can handle every kind of role ranging from Comedy to Romance to Dramatic. In Cast Away Tom Hanks is shining. Im really surprised that people dont mention this role more often as one of the best of all time.
WILSON!!!!!!!!!
Hanks plays Chuck Nolan a FedEx employee who travels all over the world to help train FedEx shipping plants everywhere. On what such trip Nolan finds himself in a plane  wreck which he survives only to find himself stranded on a deserted Island. On this Island he fights to survive. To find food. To make fire. To island made dental care. Also to fight losing his sanity. Thanks to a little volleyball friend named Wilson.
What Hanks does with this role is amazing. He tacked on weight to film the beginning scenes of the movie. Took 9 months off, lost ALL that weight and then some to film the scenes of him stranded on the Island. There is a large chunk of the movie where hardly any dialogue is even spoken. Yet you are captivated by this movie. Absolutely amazing.

Final Verdict: Worth Owning.

114. Big Daddy

Lots have been said about Adam Sandler. This blog, the 365 challenge, is a pro Adam Sandler blog. When it comes to the move Big Daddy I have always said it is his best movie he has ever done. I think he is hitting all qualities that make Adam Sandler who he is with this movie. Also why I think it is highest grossing movie he has made.
In Big Daddy Sandler plays Sonny a all too immature man child who refuses to grow up. Despite the fact that everyone else around him has moved on to mature careers and relationships. I know this sounds like basically every Sandler role but this time he surrounds with more mature people making him looking more like a crazy person. So in order to fix this we decides to adopt a young child.
The child in question is Julian who really isnt his son but his roommates son. That his roommate didnt know about. The heart of the movie is that throughout this story Sandler grows from a moronic parent who teaches his son that he name himself Frankenstein and eat ketchup for lunch. 30 packets of Ketchup! He goes from that to a caring, mature nurturing parental figure. Its a great flick and one even the Anti-Sandler person enjoys!

Final Verdict: The best Sandler and worth owning.

113. THOR

The god of Thunder. Odin's son. THOR! Newly created Marvel Studios brings to us their first big blockbuster attempt. Up until I saw this movie all I knew about Thor was he had a big hammer and the girl from Adventures in Babysitting dressed up like him.
Thor the movie starts us out on his home planet of Asgard where him and his brother Loki are being raised by the King Odin himself. Thor grows up to become King, well almost. He is an arrogant, pompous and stubborn man who is thirsty to prove himself in battle. So much that he makes stupid, brash decisions. Odin is fed up and banishes Thor to Earth to learn humility and selflessness. This where the movie really takes off.
Thor the movie is awesome. I was seriously skeptical going into it but it met my expectations and then some. Chris Hemsworth is amazing in this role. The right sense of humor and cockiness mixed in with real emotion. Also, he is Captain Kirk's dad. Natalie Portman joins us a Jane. A scientist who finds Thor, or rather hits Thor with her car. I am also amazed how well they set and use the Avengers in this movie, setting up for next year's blockbuster super hero bonanza. Give Thor a chance. It is up there with the best of the best comic book movies like X2 and Iron Man. I really hope that Thor gets his own sequel. Oh, and stay til after the credits.

Final Verdict: Worth Owning.

112. Hereafter

I really like Matt Damon. He is one of my favorite actors. Everything from the Bourne movies to the Ocean's movies. Also the very underrated The Rainmaker. He is awesome. So that is even the main reason that I agreed to watch this 2 hour depressing movie.
So lets just get that out of the way right up front. It is a movie about death. Therefore death is in this movie, kind of like a character. But man is it depressing. Real depressing. The movie does start with a bang with a Tsunami devastating a third world country and there we meet a woman named Marie who has a near death experience and sees a glimpse into the afterlife. So she starts to dive into all knowledge we can find on the subject.
Then we meet Matt Damon who plays George who has the real legitimate psychic powers to communicate with people in the afterlife but is so depressed because his life is all about death. So he resists doing his readings. In fact he cant touch another person without getting a glimpse into their life. Think like Rogue from X-Men but not killing them. The movie is depressing, it jumps all over the place and it drags. Damon does his best to be the anti-Bourne but he should stick to action or comedy. Bleh. Even if it was directed by Clint Eastwood.

Final Verdict: I see into the future.... I will not own this movie.

111. The Other Guys

The Other Guys suffers from what I like to call a case of the Previewitis. What is Previewitis? It is when you see a preview of a movie and think that is going to be one amazing movie only to see that movie and realize that you fell for a really well done trailer.
The Other Guys is a movie starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg in a buddy cop movie. Except for this time Ferrell plays the straight man and Mark Wahlberg plays the crazy  out of control guy. You know I kept waiting for this movie to get really good. It never quite gels and takes off like one would hope or expected. There are some real funny parts. I actually enjoyed a more low key Ferrell and Michael Keaton was great as their boss.
But The Other Guys ultimately lets down. Its like when you are really craving pizza and you have one delivered but when it arrives its kind of not put together well and lukewarm. That is what this was like. Really excited then just disappointing. But hey Im not expert. Im just some guy watching movies. I think it would have been funnier with SNL's Andy Samberg played Mark Wahlberg is this movie. Say hi to your mother for me!

Final Verdict: Not worth owning.

110. Airborne

1993 was a glorious year. It is the year that gave us Airborne. No, its not a movie about the those fuzzy little tablets that you take when you feel a cold coming on. It is a the story of a young, fish out of water, teenager who loves surfing and roller blading. It is not that well known and if it hadnt been for one of my best friends in college I would never have seen it. And my life would not be complete.
Why is he a fish out of water? Because our young Mitchell is the prototypical surfer guy from California who lives to surf. When he is not surfing he is roller blading and calling everyone brah. But Mitchell's parents get the chance to move to Australia for to study the Wombat. But Mitchell doesn't get to go, he has to move to Cincinnati and live with his Aunt and Uncle. Also there is his crazy Cousin Wiley played by a young and funny Seth Green.
There is no ocean in Cincy town and Mitchell can't seem to fit in with the rest of the school who loves Hockey. It isnt until he finds the common ground of Roller Blading that he can fit in with the cool kids. One of the cool kids happens to be a very young, very unknown and VERY funny Jack Black. Airborne is a great, very funny movie. It is filled with great characters and fun way to spend 90 minutes. If you have never seen it, please check it out.

Final Verdict: I could see me owning it someday.

109. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Taking a page from the George Lucas school of sequels comes Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Just like in Empire Strikes Back ROTF continues the story Sam Witwicky and his autobot friends in a darker, more evil storyline.
This time the Decepticons are trying to find what is stored in Sam's brain and use that info to take over the world. But as in Empire this is really the movie that allows the bad guys to take front and center. You get that right from the beginning when our main hero Optimus Prime is defeated. As for Witwicky he is off to college to try and escape the transformers life. Even so that our beloved Bumblebee cant go to college with him.
NO! You stay home!
In the twist of movie magic that only movie magic can provide Sam and friends end up in Egypt. In Egypt they are looking for an all powerful source that evident-ally was put here by autobots that were here years and years ago. Lying dormant. Of course this is a Michael Bay. There is lots of Explosions, lots of action, lots of humor mixed in with the action and explosions. Either you dig the Michael Bay experience or you dont. I enjoy it and personally can't wait for Transformers: Dark of the Moon especially since they got rid of Megan Fox, horrible actress.

Final Verdict: Worth owning.

108. Tron Legacy

Nothing like back to back movies. After partaking the original TRON my wife moved onto the newest sequel TRON LEGACY in, and I mean this with all seriousness, eye popping amazing blu ray.
Tron Legacy is what blu ray players are made for.  Now it helps that the movie was good, like really good. But the special effects in this were mind blowing. So so good! This was actually movie where the special effects added to the experience of the movie.  Now about that movie.
Tron Leagacy picks up about 18 yrs after when the original Tron takes place. Flynn has a son and his son is obessed with the Tron world. Well one night his dad, Flynn, is saying good night and that is last that he sees of his dad. Disappeared from thin air. Well our little son grows up and he too gets sucked in the Tron world just like his dad did 18 yrs earlier.
Little did he know that world is where dear old dad has been!! Then the story takes off as father and son fight to escape the Tron world. Like I said earlier, this movie was really really good and also the special effects are great.

Final Verdict: Worth owning.

107. Tron

I really couldnt believed that I had made 35 years and I have never seen the original Tron movie. But it is true so when Tron Legacy was coming out on bluray I knew I wanted to see it but I felt like I should watch the original so I did.
Being released in 1982 Tron had cutting edge special effects at the time but now you know they are so much. So I had to get past the cheesy effects and focus on the story. The story of Tron is that the inside workings of the computer are actually a whole world. In this world programs are being taken over by the evil Master Control. The story is supplanted by another story of a programmer named Flynn played by a young Jeff Bridges. Flynn is trying to hack his way into the master control runned Encom to proof that he created some video games. But what happens is that Flynn himself is sucked into the computer and forced to fight his way out with the help of a security program named Tron.
While I didnt think Tron was the greatest most mind blowing movie ever I can totally see why some would think it is so awesome. It has a rich and unique plot and those that are into sci fi just eat these types of movies up. Bridges is very entertaining, even in the special effects are not that good.

Final Verdict: I am glad I watched it but would not own it.

106. Fast Five

Fast Five is the fifth! yes FIFTH! installment in the Fast and Furious movie franchise. If you think about franchises that make it to the fifth! yes FIFTH! movie that those movies are just no good. Either they are going the reboot route or its straight to dvd. But what you dont expect from the fifth! yes FIFTH! movie is for it to the BEST one in the franchise. But with Fast Five that is what you get. Believe it or not.
Fast Five picks up where Fast and Furious left off. With Vin Diesel's character Dom sentenced to prison only to be busted out in under 2 minutes into the movie. The gang, including Paul Walker, end up in Rio where they hatch a plan to take down the Crime boss that is running all of Rio. Joining them are some of your favorite characters from the past FF flicks such as Tyrese and Ludacris from 2fast and the extremely underrated Sung Kang from Tokyo Drift. Actually Drift is very underrated.
Like I said you wouldnt expect the fifth movie in a franchise to be the best but not only is this one the best, its the best by a LONG shot. This movie is very very good. The chase scene are top notch and creative. I also want to point out that this was directed by newcomer Justin Lin. Lin also directed the Paintball Episode from the TV Community which is hands down the best sitcom episode of any sitcom EVER. So even if you dont like the FF movies you might like this one. But yes, one thing stays the same......Diesel and Walker cant act.

Final Verdict: It will be the first one that we will one. Worth it.

105. One Night with the King

The story Esther. You know? From the Bible.

from www.imdb.com ""One Night With The King" chronicles the life of the young Jewish girl, Hadassah, who goes on to become the Biblical Esther, the Queen of Persia, and saves the Jewish nation from annihilation at the hands of its arch enemy while winning the heart of the fiercely handsome King Xerxes

Overall the movie is just ok. Its ALOT better than most biblical adaptations seen in movies. It does drag. Really drags at times. The quality of the cast is good. But the actress that played Esther was just plain awful. Just really bad. and the CGI was horrible. But its my wife's movie and I have no say in it so.....

Final Verdict: I wouldnt own it.
