68. Limitless

One question that I had going into this movie as not 1. Will this be a good movie. 2. What will be the twist in this movie but the question was this: Will Bradley Cooper be able to hold is own as the star of movie?
so this one little pill will make me a handsome leading man?
Up  until then Cooper has been  regulated to supporting roles. You know the best friend, or like in A Team part of a big cast.  But in Limitless he finally gets the chance to shine and you know what he does just fine. And Limitless as a movie? Really good. The movie is about writer/slacker (Cooper) who is going no where in life. In fact the day we meet him he gets dumped.  Oh and he had been trying to write the same book for like 4 years. SO he runs into his ex-brother-in-law and he gives in to trying this new pill. This pill can open up your entire brain. So he is the perfect version of himself.
What follows is kind of generic grant you.  Moral dilemmas, excess of riches, women, wine and song. But it keeps your attention and Cooper shows some real depth here in his struggle to find himself while in the midst of striving to survive.

Final Verdict: Maybe not own but I will watch again.

  3. I really liked this movie. I thought it was well written, was never slow, the cinematography was excellent. I think that was a big part of what made this movie for me. But I also thought that even though there were a few generic elements to the movie, there's part of this plot that everyone can relate to. Everyone wants to experience life without fear or shyness, like he talked about during the scenes when he was at the beach. He talked about how his mind was focused and clear all the sudden, and he knew what he wanted to do, and how to do it, and nothing stood in his way. I think there's a part of every human being alive that wants that, so badly. and cooper's acting brought that to bear, and his issues he had when he got there, and had it all, showed that perfection isn't something to be expected, but at the same time, the only thing that limits us, is US. That's what I took away from the film and i really enjoyed it.

Robert DeNiro is, in my opinion, the greatest actor in history, and his experience, methodology, and his gifts showed forth as always, and his character added real, tangible pressure to cooper's character, while still being totally 100% believable. There are people like carl van loon that we encounter in real life a lot, and i think his character was very well written, and excellently portrayed by, in my opinion, the greatest actor in history. I am certain cooper learned a great deal working with him, and his next movie will be even better.

I really liked this movie a lot, and everyone should go see it! the ending is a trip!
