You must obey the three laws. You must watch all Will Smith movies. You must watch The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air! You must dance the Carlton. I, Robot is a story of the world, set in 2035, when all the robots that were created to help us survive all of sudden start to turn on their owners.
I dont trust you! |
Will Smith is one of the top notch actors of this generation. He rarely misfires with his roles. And in “I, Robot” Smith is in top form. He plays Detective Spooner who is self-proclaimed as the only sane person left in the world. He is sane because he doesn’t trust the Robots. Everyone else in the entire world trusts and adores the Robots. But not Will Smith. He don’t trust no robots. Look what they did to him in Wild Wild West (an example of a really BAD Will Smith movie)
The catch is that Spooner almost died and he was saved by a Robot AND he has a robot arm attached to him. Despite that, He don’t trust no robots. So when the creator of the robots dies/ is murdered Smith is the only one that will dig deep enough into the case to see what is really happening. What is happening? The Robots are taking over.
Final Verdict: Worth Owning. Sometimes I told you so just doesn’t cut it.
I really like this movie. I think the relationship that develops between Will Smith and the robot is pretty hilarious.
ReplyDeleteWild, Wild, West, isn't good, agreed. But, Will Smith is still good in it.
ReplyDeleteThe movie was good but I wish that they would stop butchering books when they make them into movies! The books by Asimov were great just the way he wrote them.
ReplyDeletethis is such a great movie...the picture that the robot draws really fast is one of my favorite parts, i guess because it's prophetic.
ReplyDeleteI read the book and really did not like it that much. Good read just could not get into the character or the story that much. Then I saw the movie. LOVED IT! I think the reason I like the movie more was the movie focused on just telling the basic story and the book filled in too much detail. Usually it is the other way around...I love the book and don't like the movie. Will Smith does an outstanding job with this character. I would love to own this and watch it alot. There are a few that say there are sub-Christian themes, about a machine Messiah...okay...I just thought it was a cool story. Hey! everyone needs a little salvation every now and then!
