32. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse

Well, just got done watching all three Twilight movies. If was fun to watch all three with my lovely wife.  Kevin and Shelby were here too!  Here is the thoughts on the third one.
Team Jacob!
This movie is like a roller coaster to me. Up and Down, Fast and slow.  That is really the only beef I have with this movie. It's all over the map. The action sequences are great, action packed. But then there is so much down time that just seems to drag. I mean how many different times and in how different ways can you talk about the same thing.  Seriously, we get it. Bella wants to be a Vampire. Edward doesn’t want her to be. Jacob wants Bella. Bella is torn….blah blah blah. This movie could have been better if it was about 30 minutes shorter.
On the acting front. Lautner is still the best, Stewart stays the same and Pattinson? Well Pattinson is Pattinson. Maybe he will do better in a movie with an Elephant, I don’t know.  The brightest part was Jackson Rathbone, who plays Jasper. His role takes on a more prominent part in Eclipse and he does a fine job. Overall, Eclipse was better than the first time I saw it, not as good as New Moon. It will be interesting to see how Breaking Dawn turns out.

Final Verdict: Not worth it unless you own the set.

  1. I was surprised I didn't hate this movie. I hated the first two. I can't get into it. It's not for me. I will still sing the praises of "Let Me In." It is, for my money, the best vampire movie in years.

  4. I love this movie. I think it was the best one so far. The action sequences were great. However, I do wish they would have focused more on the Cullen clan, such as Carlisle, and Emmett I don't think they get enough of a story line. I do, however, love that they did put Jasper and Rosealie's stories in the movie. I adore Jasper's character. I adore Robert Pattinson. I also adore Taylor Lautner. I like it all. Yes, I am a 34 year old mother of 2, but DARN IT....I am a TwiHard Mom and PROUD OF IT! LOL

  8. I really enjoyed this movie. Despite my husbands complaints that the pacing was all over the place. It can't be fight scenes 100% of the time! It's not that kind of movie.

  12. Well, if you like the book and, therefore, like the plot and the story, you will love the film because Chris Weitz is true to the book beyond what I could have imagined or hoped for. This movie felt like it was made for the fans, so I can understand that if you're not a fan of the series how it may feel like a laboured effort to watch "New Moon". But if you love Bella and Edward **and even Jacob--Taylor Lautner was FANTASTIC in this!**, you will leave wanting more!
